L&T secures LNTP for mega order from NTPC to set up 1600MW thermal plants

•Larsen & Toubro (L&T) secured a Limited Notice to Proceed (LNTP) from NTPC for a 1,600 MW thermal power project in Chhattisgarh.

•The project involves two 800 MW ultra-supercritical generating units, expected to be worth up to ₹15,000 crore.

•L&T will design and execute the project using ultra-supercritical technology, adding 1,600 MW to India's power grid.

•This is L&T's third ultra-supercritical project from NTPC in two years.
